At My Soul Connector, your safety and wellbeing are our highest priorities. To build a trusted, respectful community free from fraud, abuse, and harm, all members are required to complete identity and background checks before gaining access to the Platform.​

1. What We Check:

As part of the onboarding process, we conduct:

​

- Identity Verification:

A valid government-issued ID and a live selfie are required to confirm your identity and prevent impersonation or misuse.

​

- Background Screening:

Your details are compared against publicly available records to ensure accuracy and identify potential safety risks.

​

- Safety Safeguards:

Where permitted by law, we may check for indicators related to fraud, harassment, safeguarding concerns, or other behaviours that could compromise the safety and wellbeing of our community.

2. What These Checks Mean:

​

Identity and background verification significantly enhance community trust and safety.
However:

  • A clear background check does not guarantee a person’s future behaviour
     

  • No screening system can eliminate all potential risks
     

Members are encouraged to remain mindful, use in-app safety tools, and report any concerns immediately.

 

 

3. Your Consent:

​

By registering with My Soul Connector, you provide explicit consent for us to carry out the necessary identity and background checks.

​

  • If you decline these checks, you will not be permitted to access the Platform.
     

  • Any attempt to falsify, alter, or manipulate documents will result in immediate suspension or termination and may be reported to the relevant authorities.

4. Privacy & Data Protection:

All checks are conducted in full compliance with GDPR and the UK Data Protection Act 2018.

​

We ensure that:

  • Your data is encrypted and stored securely
     

  • Information is used solely for verification and safeguarding
     

  • We do not sell or share your data with third parties, except where legally required
     

  • Verification data is deleted once it is no longer necessary for safeguarding or legal purposes
     

 

5. Important Disclaimer:

Background checks substantially reduce risk, but they cannot guarantee that every user is entirely safe or free from concern. By using the Platform, you acknowledge and accept that you remain responsible for your interactions, decisions, and personal safety.
